The work has a name. The creator doesn't need a face.
UMCHI is an anonymous creator. There is no biography here, by design. What matters is what gets made and whether it was made with care.
The practice is simple: notice an idea, give it shape, release it, and move on to the next. Characters, experiments, small worlds. Some are serious. Many are not.
If you want to know who UMCHI is, look at the work. That is the only introduction on offer.
Experimentation
Every piece begins as a question. Most answers are strange. The strange ones are kept.
Independence
No committee, no permission, no roadmap written by someone else. The path is walked, not assigned.
Curiosity
Follow the idea further than is sensible. That is usually where it becomes interesting.
Craftsmanship
Even a joke deserves care. Small things, made properly, outlast loud things made fast.
